"As an artist, I think I have a responsibility to absorb the complexity of our time and reflect it in my work. To be able to handle ambiguities and uncertainties constructively, I find it important to recognise and to endure contradictions – this is what defines openness, for me. And it is precisely this open space of possibility that I found in Heraclitus' fragments, especially in the recurring theme of his philosophising, the process of constant becoming and change. His exploration of the relationship of opposites resonated very strongly with me. In contrast to each other, the poles of an opposition can be experienced particularly strongly. In the spatial composition in change is rest, I work with four choral groups, four soloists, and four instruments that occupy different positions in the church space and relate to each other in different ways." (Elisabeth Harnik)

The Kalvarienberg Church has little heating, very warm clothing is recommended.
