Annea Lockwood’s work Piano Garden, first realised in 1969–1970, combines elements of sculpture, performance, conceptual art, music, ecology and activism. The «Piano Garden» comes into effect as a landscape intervention in public space designed to promote social interaction. The realisation in Vienna will be «planted» by Annea Lockwood herself, while the «activation» will be carried out by her and the pianist Xenia Pestova Bennett.
