Listening as a method in cultural and media studies is often based on highly personal sensory experiences. In their Protocols for Organised Listening (2012), the group Ultra-red describes a structured approach to listening as a method for organising oneself as a group and thereby achieving a shared sense of empowerment for collective action. The University of Applied Arts Vienna is exploring the method of Organised Listening in practice and across various contexts.
