With a decidedly symphonic programme, the large Ensemble Kontrapunkte invites you to the second part of the ‘Composer in Focus’ series at the Musikverein featuring Francesca Verunelli. From Kalevi Aho, whose oeuvre comprises no fewer than 18 symphonies and three chamber symphonies, to Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winner William Bolcom, to Pierre Sancan, born in 1916, Gottfried Rabl presents works from the 1960s and 1970s centred around Francesca Verunelli’s microtonal work for string orchestra in just intonation.
