The Vienna-based Spanish composer duo Óscar Escudero and Belenish Moreno-Gil write a Greek tragedy in miniature format. Ying Wang slowly lets the Black Page Orchestra disintegrate as a living organism. Cezary Duchnowski, through Elfriede Jelinek’s Wut (written in 2015 following the terrorist attacks in Paris), transports the idea of European solidarity with people on the move. Olga Neuwirth’s major Jelinek ensemble pieces bring monologues by the «Black Widow» Elfriede Blauensteiner and the bodybuilder Andreas Münzer (who died from doping) (Elfi und Andi), as well as wild theatre scenes from Raststätte to the concert stage (Aufenthalt) – as a premiere after 33 years, this video oratorio can now finally be seen with video accompaniment.
