This ensemble understands itself as a soloist ensemble with variable instrumentation and gives the MUK concert series its name with performances in the Mozart Hall and the Glass Hall, among others. At the centre of it all are key works of contemporary music, combined with current practice and regular world premieres. Wien Modern showcases music by Sofia Gubaidulina, Simon Bauer and Parsa Bandiei Sabet.
