Schallfeld Ensemble: Klangutopien

The young Schallfeld Ensemble from Graz debuted at Wien Modern 2019 in the Mozart-Saal. This time, the room is smaller, but so are the instrumentation and the distance between tones: the ensemble moves in a duo and a piano trio through empty strings, static noise (Francesco Filidei) and microtonal sound utopias. A fine-tuned exploration of chamber music microcosms in the Alte Schmiede.
