The Arditti Quartet will perform, among other things, spatial pieces by Isabel Mundry and Robert HP Platz, as well as Mark Andre's large cycle of miniatures iv 13. "iv is a cycle of chamber music pieces that address the problem of introvertedness. Three groups of materials underlie the fragmentation: unharmonic, harmonic and noise-like sounds. This way, different spaces and families of sound create unexpected inner sound worlds that construct the arc of the piece. The I(ntro)v(ertedness) is about the compositional representation of existential and metaphysical representations." (Mark Andre)
