UNSICHTBARE INSTRUMENTE

Cast

Since 2006, the Polish ensemble Małe Instrumenty (Polish for „small instruments“) has been using a growing number of unusual musical instruments – toys, collectibles, curiosities and rarities, as well as numerous self-developed and self-built sound-making things. In recent years, Małe Instrumenty realized several projects with blind and visually impaired people. At the invitation of the Polish Institute Vienna, the ensemble will present the musical instruments developed in these projects during its residency at Wien Modern in concert at the mdw Campus, in a workshop at the Brunnenpassage (→ 11.11.2023 16:00), and in an exhibition at the Polish Institute (from 13.11.2023 18:00). As a new production of Wien Modern and Dschungel Wien, the quartet around Paweł Romańczuk will also present a series of interactive concerts with a workshop on building and playing instruments for children 6 years and up and adults (→ 12.11.2023 15:30).
