DSCHUNGEL WIEN MODERN: KLEINE INSTRUMENTE

Program

Cast

They’re small, they’re colorful, they look funny and they go ping, tooot, squeak, frrrrt, ratatat or hoooey! Small musical instruments are the great passion of musician, instrument collector and instrument inventor Paweł Romańczuk. For many years and in many countries, he has gathered an amazing and giant collection of motley sound toys, noise machines and things that sound curious. Together with Iwona, Justyna and Tomek from his band Małe Instrumenty (small instruments), he now presents his collected treasures for the first time in Dschungel Wien. Unlike many other musical instruments, they can be tried out and used without restraint for playing (along). How this works and what sounds and rhythms can be produced with these wonderful instruments can be experienced for yourself in this concert of almost an hour, accompanied by director and music mediator Sarah Scherer. The new production by Dschungel Wien and Wien Modern invites children from the age of 6 and up and adults to be swept away by the enthusiasm of these four sound toy experts for unexpected, surprising sounds.
