Schönberg wished for “nothing more than for people to [...] know and whistle my melodies.” In May and June 2024, pianist Marino Formenti and film-maker Thomas Marschall explored this legendary wish together in public space, commissioned by Wien Modern: With an open sofa lounge, they travelled across the city, inviting people for a glass of apple juice or schnapps and testing the truth of the famous prophecy on the spot.
