The artist Georg Baselitz, who turned his paintings upside down half a century ago so he could finally paint anything he wanted, shares his special passion for the first time at Wien Modern: contemporary music, especially string quartets, preferably finely dosed and radical ones. The "festival in a festival" Musikverein Perspektiven was born through joint discussions and will be all about passion – four evenings of talks, drinks and lots of great music in the Glass Hall. Elisabeth Harnik's response to a text by Georg Baselitz will kick it off alongside a major Furrer premiere.
