The IGNM will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2022-2023. What constitutes the musical present, its current tendencies and the future to which they point, is of course less certain today than ever before. Our present, characterized by global crises, crumbling orders and the dissolution of boundaries and categories we thought unchangeable, raises questions about the relevance of and the way in which the arts deal with concepts of the future.
