Philipp Forthuber

Philipp Forthuber makes a living with a mixture of personal musical work and supporting cultural projects in Graz and Vienna. Aside from theatre productions and music festivals, contemporary dance is part of his areas of practise. Through this, he has come to appreciate the often month-long collaboration with artists, technicians and directors just as much as the supercharged energy at meetings with a thousand attendants at Karlsplatz. As an auto-didactic instrumentalist, Forthuber moves to the other side of the circus and experiments in the dark corners of the sound spectrum. He has performed at underground venues across Austria and the continent – Paris, Warsaw, Belgrade, Turin, Amsterdam. His know-how as a music producer also comes in handy for his promotion and support of the next generation of punk in Vienna.
